For a decade, we have been dedicated to providing surgeons with personalized medical solutions. Through collaboration with healthcare professionals worldwide, we have refined our approach and supported countless procedures.

Laying the foundations
The journey began with the creation of Centis in 2012, specializing in patient-specific cranial implants for neurosurgery. A year later, Visyos was founded, focusing on the development of customized surgical guides for bone tumor surgery. Still, we remain pioneers, because in fact the first cutting guides for bone tumor resection appeared in 2011 with Laurent Paul!
2015: The Birth of 3D-SideBuilding on these foundations, Centis and Visyos merged to create 3D-Side, combining expertise in image processing, mechanics, and IT to develop tailored solutions that empower surgeons in their procedures.
2016: ISO 13485 certification, ensuring the quality and safety of our medical devices.
2018: Launch of Customize, a friendly web based platform facilitating the design and manufacturing of patient-specific medical devices.
2019: Establishment of a medical 3D printing infrastructure, meeting the highest standards.
2020: By combining advanced software with 3D printing, we launched turnkey solutions for arthroplasty planning and PSI to fully support surgeons throughout their planning and execution process.
2021: 510(k) Clearance in the United StatesWith FDA 510(k) clearance, we expanded our reach, enabling American surgeons to benefit from 3D-Side’s patient-specific instruments.
2022: Integration of artificial intelligence to optimize surgical planning and provide even greater precision to practitioners.
2023: Expansion of customization capabilities, integrating new tools to meet needs in orthopedics and beyond.
2024: Ongoing commitment, with an extended range of surgical applications and enhanced support for healthcare professionals. Launch of knee arthroplasty solutions.
2025: 3D-Side is more committed than ever to delivering a digital solution to our surgeons, partners, and medical device companies, aiming to boost access to patient-specific care and mass customization.
