For this patient, Dr. Pierre-Louis Docquier and our team worked together to plan a precise resection of Ewing’s sarcoma located in the femur, taking into account an existing pathological fracture.
After in-depth discussions, we planed a lateral resection with a 15 mm safety margin to remove the tumor.
The cutting guide was designed to ensure stable positioning, using 4 K-wires and stabilizing wings on each side of the guide. This setup facilitates a unique and precise placement during the intervention.
The reconstruction was performed with an allograft, matched to a model of the contralateral bone to restore the patient's anatomy as natural as possible.
We extend our thanks to Dr. Pierre-Louis Docquier for his expertise and collaboration in this surgical planning.
